Sunday, April 23rd

One thing Mike didn't mention on Saturday is that Ella stood by herself several times for short periods of time. I was very excited to see it, until I thought she may be walking soon and into more things. Once they get the hang of a new skill it seems that their ability multiplies quickly. She is also a climber and is still trying to climb onto things and out of things.

As for Sunday we had a good morning at church and then everyone took a nap in the early afternoon (mom and dad included). We had dinner club in the evening - thanks Zen and Tonya! It was a blast to see everyone and enjoy some good food. All of the children are growing up so quickly and play together so well. Landon had fun just being a boy - climbing up the steep hill of mulch and then running down. When something is steep and he is walking he always says "mom - my feet are sooooo heavy". He ventured down and then it was behind the house to throw dirt against a wall while singing Thomas songs. I am not sure of the joy he finds in that but he will throw dirt or mulch against a wall or tree for 30 minutes straight and of course a lot of it ends up on him and in his hair.

A fun weekend and a not as busy week ahead. We hope everyone had a great weekend too.

Tonya and Ken did a bang up job yesterday, dinner was great. Landon's game was throwing dirt and Ben's was picking up sticks. They sort of migrate to the basics don't they?

What is it with boys throwing things? India and Kate LOVE the dirt but it would never occur to them to throw it. When I was providing group therapy to adolescent boys my most successful method of getting them to express themselves ALWAYS involved throwing something...have they isolated that gene yet?

I love the photo! Amy told me about how much fun the boys had playing in the house.
