Thursday, June 22nd

Happy Birthday Nannie Pettway! We miss you and hope to see you soon - hope your day was as fun as ever.

Landon had another successful day using the potty. He is much more willing to go today, must be the surprises.

Ella has 2 new teeth. Soon enough she is going to catch up with Landon. She already prefers everything we eat to her babyfood so I am just finishing out the last few jars and she will be enjoying the gourmet lunches and dinners that we enjoy, such as ham & cheese, ham & cheese, ham & cheese, and did I mention ham & cheese?

We had a full day at the pool. We went to Tanglewood park and Landon had a great time. Ella enjoyed it this morning for half an hour before she got really tired. I talked Landon into leaving with an agreement that we would come back after Mike got home. When we went back Landon again had a blast but Ella wasn't fond of the water since the sun wasn't beaming down and the temperature was below 90 degrees. Ella even flirted with the lifeguard. She tried to climb over a bar that was waist high for her and ended up flipping over onto her head. She didn't hit hard or really injure herself but she was standing on her head for a few seconds. One of the lifeguards came over and asked what happened (as he only saw her after she was on her head) and she just talked and smiled at him. As we walked away she waved and after a few more feet she leaned over my shoulder and smiled and waved again as a last little look back kind of deal. She already knows how to get her way with us using her big eyes, I think she is trying to see what she can get away with with everyone. By the end of the evening we were all tired and Ella had busted her lip so the it was time to get home and get some rest.

It was a good day to spend at the pool. Hot, hot, hot. Our boys hit the water this afternoon as well.

Happy Birthday to my ex-neighbor, Rho! Congrats on the potty-usage and the goodbye to baby food. Things are rapidly improving at the Joyce house. There IS light at the end of the tunnel (I remember not even being sure if there was a tunnel).

I love the ham and cheese reference...at our house it is PB&J, PB&J, PB&J.
