Sunday, June 11th

I think we had the shortest Dinner Club ever tonight. We went to Greensboro and met at Country Park. It was a great day for a picnic (at least earlier in the day). Over time clouds rolled in and lightning was all around. You couldn't drive into the park so we all strolled with our children, food and dogs. By the time it was upon us it was a hard decision to try to stay put under our shelter or to make a mad run for the cars. Finally one of the park staff came by and said we better head out. We all collected our things and ran to our cars. Very quick goodbyes and running in flip-flops. Landon and Ella were confused by the whole matter and I think Landon was most upset by the rain that "made a mess" in the van. For all of you who know Landon well you know that he doesn't like a mess so the whole way home he was asking for us to clean up the mess while Mike and I were just thankful to get back in the van and make it home.
We lucked out and Delane and Amy were able to stop by the house after the park so Ben, Landon and Jackson could play. Thanks to everyone for making it to dinner club - Warren and Jennifer we missed you all and we hope for better weather next time.

Thanks again for asking us over. And for the dry shirts!
The boys had a lot of fun playing with Landon. Jackson still thinks that the bouncing part of Landon's room is the coolest thing ever.
And I had a lot of fun playing with Ella.
