Shout outs!!!

Mike had Monday off but sadly ended up having to work over lunch and then worked in the yard the rest of the day. It was great to have him here but for his sake I was hoping he could rest some. He has had a busy week of early mornings and lots of meetings. When he gets home he also plays hard and the kids beg of his every minute. Here's a shout out to my husband and all of his hard work to keep us above water.
My little brother Nathan is leaving next week for a year long service in
Kosovo and we were thrilled to have him and his girlfriend here on Monday evening along with Mom, Frank, Damion, Kara and baby Aiden. Later in the week we are going to head to a gathering for Nathan so hoping to see him at least one more time. It amazes me at the man he has grown into after knowing him as a 3 year old thumb-sucking, blanket
toting little boy. So here's a shout out to Nate - we love you and are proud of you and can't wait for you to return home safely (even though you haven't left yet). Also a shout out to all of the American's out serving in our country and other countries - thanks for all you do!!!A shout out to Landon. On Monday Chuck, Caroline, Kelli and Sam visited and we went out for ice cream. Landon had some mint chocolate chip and Kelli had chocolate almond. Landon was having a really hard time remembering the name of his ice cream but could usually remember Kelli's. After a couple times of asking him flavors they asked again what flavor Kelli's ice cream was. Landon's response was "chocolate with a secondary flavor". We all have tried to figure out where in the world he would have heard that but so far we can't pin it on anyone or anything. Thank goodness I stick to vanilla.

And last a shout out to Ella! She is growing up so quickly and wants to be a part of whatever is going on. She has decided that she would prefer to sit at the table in the same chairs now and climbs in them every chance she gets. I also am beginning to believe she is going to be a runner - maybe a marathon runner. Every opportunity she gets to run away from us or to something she is off. She rarely walks anywhere and I am often going through the house calling her name to find out where she is and what she has gotten into. She is definitely full of life.

I can't believe Nathan is that age either. I still remember pulling into our driveway to see Clare punching him out, poor guy! Now who's the tough one?
