Happy Birthday to Nannie/Mom! It was great to have mom here all day on her birthday. She spent most of the day with the kids and they kept her very busy. Landon loves to play games with Nannie and Ella even got some one on one time with Nannie as Landon had preschool. Ella just goes around the house saying "nannie, nannie, nannie" and I quickly lose out on any attention which is just fine as I am thrilled to see her interact with others. Tonight we met Damion, Kara and Aiden and Nannie was able to enjoy dinner with all of her grandkids. Landon even made a cake for "Nan" (her knick knack name) and the color must have been inspired from our trip over the weekend.

The weekend - we had a great one. We traveled to Chapel Hill to see Barry perform in Christmas at the Corner. It was a fantastic performance including singing, handbells, and dancing (dinner was yummy too!). Many thanks go out to the Callahans who welcomed our whole family into their home. The hospitality was so appreciate and the kids were so excited to play that they couldn't wait for me to leave. Landon, as soon as we walked through the door, looked at me and asked "how many minutes until you go to dinner?". How's that for some separation issues? Luckily the children didn't break anything but I am sure Ella tried more than once to pick up something she shouldn't have. Her curiosity gets her into a lot of things, onto a lot of things and trying a lot of things. There is a rumor out that if you ever need someone to spin some tops, Mr. Callahan has quite the tallent and can keep 6 tops spinning for at least 24 hours without any stopping. Thanks again!

Rest of the week is going to be devoted to preparing for the Christmas season. I still need to decorate the tree, was thinking about not doing it at all because of the little hands that like to play with the ornaments. I also need to wrap gifts, order my Christmas cards, etc etc etc...... Hope your week is merry!
