A busy morning with a trip to the local science museum. I was surprised at how much Ella and Landon both enjoyed it. They did everything including their first "movie". We watched a 45 minute movie on planets in the planetarium 
and both Landon and Ella sat in amazement even though it was lunchtime. Landon loves planets and stars and Ella loves the moon so it had a lot to offer each of them. Still don't know if we will venture to an actual movie theatre anytime soon but I feel a bit better about it now. I didn't take the camera with me today so no photos from the 
museum but I am posting a lot from our Thursday on vacation. We visited Tweetsie Railroad for "A Day Out with Thomas", Thomas the Tank Engine that is. We started right on time and took the double jogger along. It was a lot of uphill pushing for Mike but it was better than carrying them. After seeing 
Thomas first thing we headed up to the merry go round where both Landon and Ella excitedly jumped on a horse. After about 2 times around Ella decided this wasn't for her and Mike held her the rest of the ride. Next was the race cars where Landon did more driving and Ella really liked it after about 1/2 way through the first ride. Luckily there 
were no lines for anything and we were able to hop right back on for an even better second ride. Then we marched back down the hill to see Sir Topham Hatt who was larger than life and as you will see in the picture both Landon and Ella are clutching onto Mike's shirt but quickly eased up to give him a high five. Ella continued to talk about him for about 30 minutes after our visit. Soon it was time for our very own ride on Thomas. We rode on the first car right behind Thomas and another engine and Ella loved to hear the bell and the whistle Peep Peep. We had been made aware of where to sit so Landon had a good angle on the Cowboys and Indian show 
where Thomas saved the day. That was certainly a highlight for Landon to be able to see "a real live Thomas and ride in the coach".

Well we marched up the hill to catch the chairlift to the very top of the park. Ella loved the ride and stood in the chair most of the time looking at everything around. She sometimes gets a little spooked by climbing up on high 
playgrounds so I wasn't sure but she loved every minute. As soon as that ride was over there was a playground that they both climbed and slid down together. Landon was a great big brother and waited for Ella to get up the stairs and through the tunnel and would let her slide down before him. They would quickly head back up and do it all over again which gave Mom and Dad a nice break in the shade. From there we hit the kiddie boats where they both shared a boat and shared the bell in which they rang 
constantly from the time they sat down until we lifted them out. We have some video that is hilarious but I haven't been able to load it yet. They ended up riding this several times before we made the mistake of trying out the airplane ride. This one was not a favorite for Ella, she started out ok but with no bell to ring and the up and down motion she quickly cried enough that they stopped the ride 
to get her off. I felt bad for all of the children but they didn't seem to mind. Landon enjoyed it and wasn't phased by Ella's screaming and crying. After that we decided it was time for a lunch break, nothing like baked cheetos for a lunch of champions. There was far too much excitement to eat a full lunch so we just got some tattoos and continued on to watch a Thomas video and play on the train tables that were set up. It was really set up well and it wasn't too 
crowded so everyone had a piece to play with. We stayed inside for a Can Can show and sat front row for some singing and dancing. One final wave at Thomas as he chugged away and it was past time to get back for a nap. I think we all napped that day and before we knew it it was 5:00 PM and we were heading back out for dinner and some creek time.

After this morning and thinking about all we did with Thomas last Thursday I have talked myself into a break and maybe some ice cold water.
