Happy Father's Day Mike! You are a wonderful father. Happy father's day to Dad, and Frank also and to all of the fathers out there! We celebrated most of the day yesterday with Mike starting with a trip to Lowe's to buy an edger - whoooo hooooo! I am actually excited by the thought of a nice clean edge around our huge driveway. Next him and Frank went to play golf with two buddies and had a nice round without any storms. Mike was a little worried
by how sore he was due to playing tennis the other day but ended up having a great game. Then back to the house for a nice cookout with huge steaks, corn on the cob, salad, baked potatoes, strawberries and homemade poundcake. Yummy Yummy - it was quite a treat for me too! During dinner we had a huge storm come through and even had pretty large hail along with it.
I am posting last pictures from our vacation the previous week. We spent lots of time throwing rocks in the creek. A highlight for Landon was also playing some football with Dad
on the Appalachain State football field. Shortly after playing on the field we had to go by the bookstore and get him and "official" football jersey. He loves wearing it and thinks it makes him as fast as a
real football player so you will see lots of pictures of him in this shirt over the summer.

It was the first course I have been on that went straight up hill. There were a lot of fun holes including one that had them jump the ball over a cree
k. Landon scored 3 holes in one and Ella liked putting the ball into the tunnel on hole number 13. Ella and I made it through 18 holes but then it was best for us to hang out while Dad and Landon played the 2nd round. I think Landon got a couple more holes in one the second round. It was all a great time and we look forward to going back soon.

The last picture is one I have been wanting to post for some time but just forgot. This was from our dinner club get together on June 3. These are a few of the 10 kids that are part of our evenings. Kasey McMichael (Keith and Sharon McMichael) is the one hugging Ella (Mike has already said no dating until she is 30), Landon is behind them, Jimmy Epperly (Anita Vipperman Epperly and Steven Epperly's little boy who is younger than Landon by almost a year believe it or not) and Bethany Davis (Warren and Jennifer Davis' youngest). It is so fun to see them all playing together and makes for a big crowd for each dinner. Before we know it they will be going to the prom (all but Ella that is).

What wonderful photos! I particularly like the one of Landon and Ella together, as well as the group of kids. And the shot of Mike is so good too. He never changes (neither do you); what's the secret?
Nice to hear Mike still plays tennis. I remember lots of summers seeing Mike play at DeHart park. And, of course, teaching Clare lessons.
Happy Father's Day!
