Wrapping up the weekend with a quiet night. We had a lot of fun last week with VBS and the kids were certainly worn out by the end. Mike was in Colorado most of the week and made it home safely but very tired. Friday we stayed low key and grilled out then went for a walk. On Saturday we had a nice big family breakfast and then mainly hung out around home. Nannie and Pops camed down in the afternoon and went with Landon and Ella to the pool. They had fun showing Nannie and Pops how well they could swim and Ella even started to float by herself without anyone asking her to. Another good night to grill out so we stayed home, grilled out, and went for a walk. Landon has enjoyed taking his bike while we walk. He is getting faster and faster and soon I am sure the training wheels will be off. Ella prefers the stroller and Eli prefers the wagon so on Saturday night we had a large caravan of kid transportation going. Today we went to see my nephew - baby Abram - get baptized. It was great to see him and his brother Aiden as well as my brother Damion and sister-in-law Kara. We had lots of fun even though it always seems that our time is spent watching the kids and not getting to talk and catch up. Anyway it was a lot of fun. When it came time to leave Ella was very sad about leaving Nannie an Pops. It ALWAYS happens that way that she goes to say goodbye and breaks down into a sob, sad to leave. By the time we made it home everyone was happy but tired. 3 out of 5 of us snuck a nap in this afternoon and Landon and Ella were not 2 of them. However, when dinner was ready Landon found Ella asleep on her bed instead of washing her hands. It took her a while to be happy about having to wake up to eat but by the end of dinner she was happy and ready to go for another walk. It may not sound very exciting but all of these walks are my favorite part of the day.

Hope you all had a great weekend with lots of family time. By the way, the picture at top is me trying to get all 3 kids and Ella was determined not to be in the picture.
