Only two pictures as my camera is struggling right now, the funny one is Mike who had climbed up in the kids play area with Landon and ended up getting stuck up there as there were too many kids running through and he couldn't block the pipes. We have had a good week with lots going on. Nannie came last Wednesday and stayed through Monday
afternoon. It was great to have her here and we accomplished an entire flower bed and planting 5 pretty rhodedendrums. It was a great feeling to have them done but Ella and Jake have not been too easy on it. Ella has picked several of the flowers including marigolds, gerber daisies, and purple african daisies. She just loves flowers and loves to pick them, who can blame her, except after she picks them she generally throws them down seconds later after admiring the colors.

We visited Charlotte over the weekend and actually took the kids to stay in the hotel which was
an adventure. They had a late night as they stayed up until 11:30 or later and finally went to sleep. Of course they were up early so after traveling back on Sunday I was wiped out and so were they so we all took a nap while Nannie worked in the yard. Frank and Mike went to the Wachovia Championship to watch Tiger win which was quite exciting. Landon and Ella's favorite part of Charlotte was riding up and down and up and down and up and down the escalators in the hotel lobby. Landon has asked me several times when he could go back to Charlotte to ride the escalators. I ended up taking them to the mall today to meet a friend at the indoor play area and we also rode the escalators which was a hit (more so than the playground).

Other exciting news was that Ella put poops in the potty for the first time last week. I was so excited but it was unusual circumstances and I don't expect it to happen again anytime soon. She loved waving bye bye to the stinky in the potty but next time she didn't hesitate to use her diaper. Guess since she isn't 2 yet then I don't have to stress.

My girls love escalators too, and elevators. They hardly see them; there are no escalators on the Shore and only one elevator...in the hospital. This is so strikingly like the way I grew up; the only elevator in Stuart was in the Nursing Home (my family worked there and now the Short People's family works in the Hospital here).
Hope you are feeling well and getting that second trimester energy surge (although I think it's not so much a "surge" when you have other children to care for).
